What is the reimagined production?

What is the age recommendation?
The show is suitable for ages 8 and up. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket. Children under 5 are not permitted in the theatre. Please note that children under the age of 15 will not be admitted to the theatre without the accompaniment of an adult.
Does this production use a strobe light?
Yes. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child features the use of strobe lights, and other visual and sound effects.
What health safety precautions are in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19?
To protect our audiences and the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child cast, health and safety protocols will be announced closer to the start of performances. We will be adhering to all industry guidance to keep our audiences and company safe. Stay tuned to our social channels and website for updates.
When did the production start?
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child played its first West Coast performance at the Curran Theater on Wednesday, October 23, 2019.
Are there animals in the production?
During the performance, you will see some birds in cages, but please note, these birds are not real – just very realistic pieces from our brilliant props department! There are no real animals featured in the production.
Are tickets on sale?
Tickets are now on sale to the general public for performances through September 4, 2022.
How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets may be purchased online through our official website, by phone or in person at our box office
For the best seats and to eliminate the risk of fraud, we strongly recommend you only purchase tickets through our official website or the Curran Theater box office. Purchasing tickets from any other seller runs a high risk of receiving fraudulent tickets.

How many tickets can I purchase in one transaction?
You may purchase tickets for up to nine guests per transaction. If you are interested in purchasing for a group of 10 or more, please email Groups@SFCurran.com.
What payment methods are accepted?
Our official ticketing system accepts the following methods of payment: Visa, MasterCard, and American Express®.

When will I receive my tickets?
When purchasing tickets, you will have the option to select “Will Call” or “Print at Home — Digital Download.” All tickets will be delivered 48 hours prior to the event and an ID matching the order name will be required for box office pickup.
Where is the show being performed?
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will play at the Curran, located at 445 Geary Street in San Francisco. It is also currently playing at the Palace Theatre in London, the Lyric Theatre in New York and the Princess Theatre in Melbourne. The first non-English version of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will open in Hamburg in 2021.
My tickets have been purchased by/for someone else. How can I/they claim the tickets?
When purchasing tickets, you will have the option to select “Will Call” or “Print at Home – Digital Download.” If you are purchasing tickets as a gift, please select “Print at Home – Digital Download” option to most easily share the tickets. All tickets will be delivered to the purchasing email address seven days prior to the event. If you select “Will Call,” an ID matching the original order name will be required for Box Office pickup. To change the name on your Will Call order, please call 800-806-0247.
What is the current booking period?
Beginning July 21, tickets will be on sale through September 4, 2022.
What happens if I need to return or cancel my tickets?
If you cannot attend your performance due to health & safety concerns, exchange policies are in place.
What happens if there are no tickets available for my preferred performance?
Please check back closer to the engagement, as late-release tickets may become available on short notice and will be served on a first-come-first-served basis. Follow our Twitter and Facebook pages for updates on any late-release tickets, or sign up to the newsletter for updates of when new sets of performances will go on sale.
Are there packages available?
The Curran Refreshment Package is available, which includes Price A tickets, 2 Food & Beverage vouchers(each good for any 1 item from the bars), 1 Large VOSS water per part, and a Special Gift.

Are there any planned performances for patrons with special access needs?
Cursed Child is planning to make GalaPro available for our patrons. GalaPro is a free app for on-demand captioning and audio description that you can use on your personal smartphone device. GalaPro makes theatre accessible for patrons who are hearing or sight impaired, or just don’t want to miss a word of the show.
Additionally, interpreted performances are currently being scheduled. Patrons looking for ASL-interpreted performances can email Info@SFCurran.com to be put on a list to be notified when those dates are announced.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is currently playing in the following cities: London, Melbourne, San Francisco, Hamburg and coming soon to Toronto and Tokyo.
